I have currently been warning people they are to blame if I fail my exams. People who show up to visit me, take me out, etc. I now blame you. You should be ashamed of yourself.
This is my blog for any library related assignments. Some are delegated by work. Some by my school. While that sounds boring, the way I write it is not. Promise.

Shame, Shame. Double Shame...
Who decided RSS would be a good thing to teach us during exams? Okay I'm going to admit that I did not know what RSS was before today. The good news is that I currently have no need for RSS because all the sites I currently visit are updated daily, thus checking them is never a waste of time. The bad news is, like many things I don't need, it is something that I may in fact want. It opened the door to many websites I would never have thought to look at (Like Dilbert). This could be very dangerous during exam time.

One small step for me. One giant leap for some other people.
The Googleverse is huge. Even people familiar with its more used options have probably never tried everything Google. Currently I am doing this assignment in Google Chrome. I've been using the web browser for a few months now and really like it. I have also used Google Scholar, maps and a few other tools.
In the spirit of this assignment I took a look at something new for me. Google Sky. Put nicely, it sucks.
Just as a side note, did you know Google has a 300 year business plan? Yip, in that time they hope to amass all the worlds knowledge. Pretty cool right?

Everyone's Invited
Facebook is something I have been using for many years. Clearly, I don't think of it as a waste of time. What makes facebook a huge help in my life? The events function of facebook makes it very easy for me to invite people over, know who's coming, let people know of changes and all sorts of other things. It also allows people to tell me how excited they are. I love being able to let people know what I'll be cooking as the menu progresses because we all know how delicious it is ;)

You Can't Always Get What You Want
Being the curious spirit that I am I was searching for a list of previous questions asked on game shows. Questions used on Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? are generally not repeated in a show so you can eliminate those questions from what you may be asked. Sadly no such list exists, not on Wiki or in general. There is; however, information on the shows themselves.
I love wiki for personal use about trivial things. It's a great starting point for research if you know nothing about a topic. Just remember that anyone can place anything on it and edit any post to say what they want to. There will be no way to judge the credentials of the person placing the information and thus no information as to bias. Always double check the information before using it the real world.

Notice: Most Delicious Things Are Bad For You
The pros and cons of delicious:
- you can access the same bookmarks from any computer across the world.
- you can add new bookmarks with relative ease.
- you can tag bookmarks with various headings and so can find them in more than one way.
- anyone can add any bookmark, thus making it hard to keep track of valid resources
- anyone can add any bookmark, leading to an intolerably large number of bookmarks
- anyone can add any bookmark, and they may not tag it properly, thus leading to innumerable tags.
Please forgive the atrocious grammar in this post.

Phase One: Complete
In life it is important to know when to pick your battles. As much as I really do not understand the point of this exercise, the amount of work that would go into it is negligible. As such, I have decided to "shut up and do it".
While I don't expect to learn much, I promise to let you know if I do.
